A few of the important building activities completed over the years are as mentioned herein:

* Premier Tyres Limited, Kalamassery

Civil Engineering works of the factory including Machine foundation, Administrative building, high-rise water storage, etc., on a back-to-back basis in 1960.

* The then tallest building in South India - 14 storied administrative building and a few other structures for HMT Ltd., Kalamassery in 1965.

* The housing project for Cochin Refineries Ltd., Kochi, built in 1965, for the occupation of American technocrats.

* The massive structure for St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary at Kottayam completed in 1970.

* The entire Civil and structural works including site development for MRF Ltd., Kottayam is being done from 1969, till date having an area of 96,000 Sq.Mtrs.

* All civil engineering works of Malayala Manorama Group at Kottayam during the last 45 years.

* Various hospital complexes viz. Good Samaritan Hospital - Alwaye, St.John's Hospital Kattapana, Devamatha Hospital - Koothattukulam, St. Augustine's Hospital-Kumily, Mercy Hospital - Chengalam , Ponkunnam, I.H.M. Hospital - Bharananganam, Carithas Hospital - Kottayam, Assissi Hospital - Mukkoottuthara, Bishop Vayalil Medical Centre, Moolamattam, Century Hospital - Chenganoor, etc.

* Educational Institutions, viz. St. Thomas College, Hostels and allied works at Palai, Alphonsa College, Hostels and other allied works at Palai, Cochin College - Kochi, Travancore Devaswam Board College - Sasthamkottah, Baselious College, Kottayam.

Notes : Hundreds of independent bungalows, housing complexes, churches, mosques and other private and public buildings all over Kerala and Karnataka are not included in the above list.

With all the confidence attained, experience gathered in Civil Engineering works during the period of time, the machinery and equipment the firm owns, and with the backing of the efficient manpower resources, Vellapally Brothers is now in a position to successfully undertake major projects where large earth moving is called for and to build all types of buildings and other civil engineering projects. The well equipped mechanical workshop, wood working shop and the central stores are also some of the added advantages of the firm.

Vellapally Brothers is under the process of negotiating for projects in other parts of the country and is also planning to go beyond the boundaries to share the experience and expertise wherever needed to achieve further heights in the construction industry.
