VELLAPALLY BROTHERS was founded by Late Mr. V.C. Mathew Vellapally as a partnership firm, in the year 1947 with all the aspirational inspiration and experience achieved ever since he started his career as a small time Civil Contractor to the prominent planters of Kerala and a few foreign organizations based in Kerala. He started his career as a contractor to the German agency that built the Neriamangalam Arch Bridge, as early as 1931-32.

His son Late Mr. V.M. Alexander Vellapally joined the firm as an Engineer, incharge of the civil and structural construction activities in 1953 and took charge as the Managing Partner of the firm in 1959 with the guidance of the founder father. He was instrumental in mechanizing the mode of operation of the firm and setting up the standards for quality, speed and trust. During his time the firm attained its name as one of the most dependable, efficient and financially sound organization in Kerala. In 1976 he took initiative to associate a few leading civil contractors of Kerala to form Asian Techs Limited and was the Managing Director from the inception to 1995 when he retired from active service.

Mr. Mathew Alex Vellapally, son of Sri V.M. Alexander Vellapally joined the firm in 1980. He is presently managing the firm as Managing Partner with the active participation of its executives and associates. By gradual innovations, updating methodology in construction industry, acquiring machinery and equipment, Vellapally Brothers has created a strong base in the business during the last 7 decades. A tradition of trust, quality and commitment gracefully passed on to the third generation.

In view of diversifying our activities, we have started a Tourism Division and Machinery Division in the new millennium. Tourism Division is completing a star category resort with 21 independent cottages at Kumarakom right on the banks of the famous Vembanad Back Water. Machinery Division has been formed on the vision to take dealership of all construction equipments under one roof. Now we have already taken over the all Kerala dealership of Earth Moving Equipments manufactured by M/s. Larsen & Toubro Limited, Compressors, Electric and Pneumatic Power Tools manufactured by M/s. Chicago Pneumatic and Atlas Copco Limited.

In order to cater to the needs of all our divisions, we have developed a mechanized workshop cum service facility at Peroor, Kottayam having a covered area of 25000 Sq.Ft.

The firm is well known in Kerala for upholding quality without compromise in construction and for honouring commitments within the respective time schedule. During the last three decades construction techniques have been given a new dimension of creativity by the management of Vellapally Brothers.

Hardwork, honest and sincere approach to all problems by the management, unrelenting wholehearted co-operation and dedication by the staff and assistants, are the main factors which have contributed to the growth of the firm.
